Elegant Purple & Silver Bridal Shower Details: This is what Valerie said about styling the party- “I was hired by Jasmins mother, Silvia, to create a fun and charming bridal shower for her lovely daughter. Jasmin is getting married in Miami but Silvia wanted to throw her a bridal shower in her hometown, Pensacola, where her friends and family live. After we chatted a bit about Jasmins loves and likes, food options and the ambiance she was hoping for, we created a fabulous and fun bridal shower. Silvia told me in our meeting that Jasmin loved purple and bling. I myself am a glitz lover, so this got the wheels turning. I choose the Lee House for this event because of its great lighting and cozy setting. Because the two tables at the Lee House are so big and beautiful, I chose to use an assortment of different types of florals to line a sequence runner. The gift table had a sequence table linen. The table was already set when the guests arrived and included a folded napkin with activity cards in them on top of a plate, fork, cham pagne glass, water glass with a paper straw, and a pen. When designing a bridal shower its important to have games but not too many of them- you dont want to bore the guests. I believe that 3 activities are really all you need. The first activity was having guests give the blushing bride marriage advice on silver (for Steve) and purple (for Jasmin) cards. These will make a great keepsake later. When they were all done filling them out, one of Jasmins bridesmaids read off the card and the bride had to guess whose advice it was. The second game was the classic toilet paper bridal gown. This game is always a lot of fun and they had a blast designing for the bride. Each girl had to saunter on the catwalk, project runway style, in their couture gown. The food was simple yet scrumptious with little sandwiches, quiche and tarts. A mimosa bar was a must for these ladies. To top off the event were vanilla cupcakes with lavender colored frosting. The girls also had a great time with the photo booth”. Love Kara’s Party Ideas?
