“With a touch of Paris chic, Stephanie and Steven Novotny were married at one of the most beautiful venues Houston, TX has to offer: the McGovern Centennial Gardens. The weather was perfect, the flowers fresh and the white, and the dress and make-up impeccable. There are not enough words to describe the beauty, energy, love, and amazing attention to detail surrounding this wedding. Stephanie’s mother, Susan Lawrence, was the mastermind behind the event, along with Courtney Paddock, from Little Coterie Events in Houston. The wedding required months of preparation and research. The bridal couple requested specific detail photos of the venue, including flowers, food, menus, cocktails, and monogrammed towels. The color palette was deep green, inspired by tropical forest green. The bridesmaids wore beautiful velvet dresses, paired with white flowers and hints of blush off white. Stephanie’s dress was a gorgeous gown that she says it has no label, or at the least it was not coming from any specific brand. All she wanted was a gown with simple lines and a clean cut, no lace or pearls. Only a white gown. And she got it! She was gorgeous. It was one of the most clean and placid bridal looks I have ever had the chance to photograph. Now let’s talk about the groom! Steven is partially Mexican thanks to his beautiful and energetic mom, the lady in the pink dress that dominated the dance floor! And Susan did not let family and friends go away without a fun Latino touch involved: a mariachi that brought many to tears of joy when the couple exited the Centennial Garden. Just outside the Garden, a sweet white Cooper awaited the couple, with massive white balloons attached to it.
