Classic Nautical Party Details: This is what Tanya said about planning the party- “The first year with our beautiful boy Ryan seemed to fly by and before I knew it, I was in full planning mode for his 1st Birthday celebration. From very early on Ryan loved being in the water and playing with boats so it was a natural fit to choose a nautical theme for his special day. I choose a classic bold colour palette of red, navy and blue with miniature sailboat and rope accents to bring the celebration to life. All the party details from the party printables and back drop to the desserts and the birthday cake were designed and made by myself. My favourite part of Ryan’s birthday celebration was seeing the excitement on his face when it came time to blow out the candle on his three tiered cake. The cake was my third attempt at making a fondant covered cake and was a labour of love consisting of a four layer white choc & raspberry mud bottom tier, a mud choc & cherry ripe middle tier and a faux top tier to be kept as a keepsake. The dessert table also featured, lollies, sugar cookies and choc covered Oreos for the guests with an extra sweet tooth. The children were able to enjoy the sweet treats at the special nautical themed childrens table set with personalised milk bottles and gorgeous miniature louis ghost chairs. Custom chocolate bars and takeaway boxes were also available for all the guests to fill and indulge after the celebration.
