“This is certainly the most colorful and vibrant event I’ve styled. Where LEGO birthdays often show off their signature primary colors, we were all about doing something a bit more unique. Luckily Oriental Trading has this pretty collection of bold pastel building blocks, and naturally it was the ideal color scheme to inspire this celebration perfect for any darling little girl who loves using their imagination and creating things. Move over boys – girls love building things too!! Now let’s get to all the FUN and cute details from Olivia’s LEGOLand 5th birthday….. Decor: There was no shortage of LEGO building blocks! From jumbo ones welcoming you at the door of Olivia’s backyard bash to the grand building “construction” of the dessert table, and even on every guest table. Tables were decorated with pretty vibrant linens that matched perfectly to the color scheme, and then adorned with monochromatic square floral arrangements. These lovely centerpieces are what LEGOs would be in floral form, don’t you think?? Desserts: Can we please talk about how stinkin’ cute this cake is?! A show stopping creation alongside LEGO block sugar cookies, candies, mini cupcakes and LEGO doll cake pops. Spoonful of Heaven always does such a great job with these themed desserts! Since the bold colors, and size and scope of our LEGO blocks were statement pieces on their own, the rest of the dessert table was kept clean, white and simple – allowing each detail to shine!! Outdoor Summer parties are always a bit more relaxed, but Olivia and her lively friends were too excited to get creative and play!! When they weren’t having tons of fun cooling off on the waterslide, they were coloring LEGO designs and building their very own creative masterpieces! But the best part…..Mr. Softee’s Ice Cream truck stopped by to put a smile on everyone’s faces! Because who doesn’t love your local ice cream truck making a pit stop at your birthday party for all your friends and family. It was certainly a crowd pleaser! Olivia’s LEGOLand 5th birthday was a bright, fun and seriously awesome celebration!!”
