This is what Samantha shared about planning/styling the party:
“When Sharon approached me to do a Pokemon party for her son, Christian, we were so excited to take it on. Sharon, being the GM for a really popular luxury brand, has the most exquisite taste and she had this wonderful idea of bringing the outdoors indoors with a backyard picnic setting. I mean — if this is not a dream project, I don’t know what is. Plus Sharon is THE nicest, sweetest, and easiest client ever! Despite her stature, she was just the best to work with and we would literally jump at any chance to work with her again. She is officially way up there on our favorite client list. When we visited her venue, it was very warm and had golden and yellow tones all over. So I wanted to complement it with a very rustic feel for her party and infuse some muted colors to balance out the yellows. We did a wonderful setup in the middle where we created a cozy and warm picnic area with tons of blankets and throws, cushions, bean bags, and a sprinkling of baskets and potted plants. As for the dessert table, we took advantage of the room’s round window. We did tasteful balloon garlands with white and yellow balloons and leaf inserts to flank it. The table had wooden lamps, little wicker pineapples, and roughly polished gold wrought iron servingware. We added a lot of wooden and rattan finishes as well. Cookies were done by The Little Whisk and our desserts were designed by Cuppacake. We also did her gift and drinks tables to match the theme. Families were so surprised when they walked into the venue and saw an inviting area for everyone to relax. Sharon wanted to have a more homey feel for the party, where children and parents alike can just lounge around, watch movies, and really interact with each other. We setup a projector housed in our trusty little teepee, had trays of snacks guests can just get from, and sprinkled poufs and bean bags around the area. We also made sure our favors were reusable and got assorted pillows families can choose from and take home.”
