This is what Emily shared about the party- “When deciding on the theme of Isabelle’s second birthday, I looked to her personality to inspire me. I am best friends with her mom, and so I have been lucky enough to get to know her personality quite well. Isabelle is daring and strong willed, with a sort of fire within her. Combine that with her mother’s handmade play tents she retails, I couldn’t resist but to throw a boho themed party. The party was originally planned for outdoors, but the rainy weather lead to a sweet, little party in their family home. Most of the details were handmade by myself or her mama, including the macrame cake stand garland, table canopy, musical instruments, play tent, beaded garland, and all the food and cake. And true to boho style we included a lot of natural and recycled elements, like beeswax candles on the cake, recycled fabric fringe garland, washable napkins, and locally made clothing for her daughters. When it came time to open the presents, Isabelle sat in her wicker chair beautifully adorned with a pink floral corsage. Kassandra Donaldson beautifully captured the moment we slipped outside to shower the birthday girl in dried wildflower petals and, as if on cue, the rain clouds parted for that short period”.
