Bohemian Gypsy Party Details: This is what Anfal shared about the party- “I wanted Lulu’s birthday to look like a gypsy market; colorful, relaxed with a bohemian flair. I attached the invitation to a paper bag with battery operated lights inside to give a fancy feel to it and attached a dream catcher accessory with a little note for the invited girls to hang it over their beds to keep bad dreams away. As for the decorations, I placed a teepee tent in one corner and a lady acting like a gypsy fortune teller sat inside. I didn’t think this would be a big hit, but it was! The girls loved knowing about their beautiful futures ahead. I used black and white aztec printed rugs with colorful mis matched cushions and stools. In one corner there was a jewelry making activity, in the other corner a face painter was waiting to color the girls faces with pretty designs. I rented colorful decorative lights and hung colorful paper lanterns in between the lights, which gave a fascinating atmosphere to the party. I also rented pony rides which the girls loved! We had two main events, a gypsy magician and a gypsy dancer teaching the girls some lovely gypsy dance routines. The dessert table looked like a bake sale stand but we called it “Lulu’s Gypsy Market” My daughter and her older sister enjoyed acting like gypsies selling sweet treats to the guests. There was a variety of desserts; the Birthday Cake which was a naked chocolate cake decorated with fresh flowers, two mini naked pumpkin cakes, colorful “henna” inspired sugar cookies, red velvet cupcakes, rose water trifles placed in small wooden baskets, rice krispy triangles and decorated donuts! We made two kinds of giveaways; tins decorated with colorful mismatched fabrics and embelleshed baskets all with arts and crafts inside. As for dinner, I rented a food truck serving burgers and fries to the little girls.”
