This is what Kristin said about planning the party- “Barrett’s first birthday. I went all out in our house that we were renovating at the time. Guests entered to balloons outside, then in the entry grabbed a party hat and signed in on a “1” sheet I had hand colored for Barrett. It is now framed in his playroom. I brown papered the entry way, painted styrofoam number “1’s” all over the house, spray painted and framed his first birthday photos, and made a huge candy bar. No children’s party is complete without balloons so I had a company come in and put balloons everywhere for the kids. A music lady who teaches at one of the libraries in Dallas came and sang songs with the kids for a performance. She was special because Barrett’s first year he loved going to her music class.
