Blue and White Baby Shower Details: This is what Melinda said about planning/styling the party- “We’ve done loads of celebrations, but never one like this. With their first baby on the way, and it been a boy, we were asked to do the decor for a bris, and we were more than over the moon happy! Originally, according to his expected due date, the bris was going to fall on a Friday but the little man had other ideas and kept us all waiting in anticipation. Born on the 7 September, his bris took place this Sunday at the Sandton Shul in morningside. Thank you so much to this amazing family allowing us to be a part of such a special celebration. The new mommy didn’t have a theme in mind, but she wanted a blue and white colour scheme. We made personalised the ‘bebe silby’ blocks as his name is only announced after the ceremony. The little brown shoes were bought at one of our local stores, in size 1, which we gave as a gift, along with a little blanket and some vests. All the sweets and cookies had to be kosher, and in blue and or white, which limited our choice somewhat, but the end result looked pretty. e think the little chocolate tart cookies worked well and to incorporate them into the scheme we added little toppers – pinwheels and name tags. The popcorn boxes are the large ones you buy at party stores, but we trimmed them down and added a little bit of decor”. Love Kara’s Party Ideas?
