Belle & Boo Party Details:This is what Naqiyah said about styling the party- “Belle and her bunny friend Boo inhabit a whimsical world where fun and friendship is the order of the day. Naqiyah channeled the delightful duos nostalgic charm into the theme for her daughter Tahanis 4th birthday party. To recreate the cheerful garden setting of the Belle and Boo world, Naqiyah brought in natural textures and floral tones. A wheelbarrow held party-favour seed packets. Wooden pallets transformed into tables and fresh potted flowers adorned these for decor. The girls later planted the flowers for Tahani to enjoy the lasting memory of her blooming friendship garden. Even the moms tables were not left without their splash of whimsy, and were strung with little paper-doll bunting. The little ladies were treated to a milkshake high tea while their moms enjoyed a fully-plated 4-course meal. To avoid food wastage, Naqiyah limited her buffet to just candy and confectionery. Instead of an elaborate glass display, a selection of sweets was dispensed into little bags. She wanted her daughters friends to enjoy the traditional feel of having candy at a party, without them gravitating solely towards it. Each childs place setting included a basket of savoury foods (some of Tahanis favourites). They could either eat at the party or take it home to finish. The paper placemats doubled as take-home activity sheets. While the kids got busy with their confectionery and snack selection , the mums enjoyed a fully-plated four-course meal. This eliminated the wastage that often occurs with large buffets and ensured that Naqiyahs guests could enjoy restful chats without having to get up to dish out the mains and desserts”.
