Back To School Breakfast Details:This is what Valerie said about planning the party-  “It’s hard to believe, but it’s time for our kids to go BACK TO SCHOOL! Summer always seems to fly by. My kids have lived at the pool, picnic’d at the park, played outside until dark and soaked in the ease of summer. It’s been marvelous! If you’re like me, this time of year is a little bitter sweet. On one hand, a little routine (and a quiet house) doesn’t sound half bad, but the ease and simplicity of summer just cannot be beat. Thankfully, my kids are young enough to still be thoroughly excited about school resuming. Every year, I try to greet this excitement with a little fanfare. A fun Back To School breakfast is a great way to send the kids off to school with a healthy breakfast and some good family fun. I try to keep the breakfast food simple and the decor and prep something I can do the night before. This year, I created a fun little cereal bar with my kid’s favorites. It was a hit. At each kid’s place setting, I used an inexpensive pencil box and filled it with a fruit cup, a pop tart (you could use a cereal bar instead) and a little “Smarties” candy treat. My kids were in heaven. Homework, fall sports and parent/teacher conferences will be a reality before we know it. For now, I will treasure our back-to-school excitement and look forward to all the fun that awaits us this fall”!
