Aviation Birthday Party
This is what Lara shared about the party:
“My husband and I both worked in aviation when we met, so we already had a lot of “props” to create an aviation themed party. I mean, who has a buffet made with galley carts? We did. The party areas included a TSA security checkpoint, flotation devices, a baggage claim / luggage area, airline food and drinks, and a cockpit. I wanted to create our own airline for the party based on my daughter’s name. So, I had lots of things branded with a custom logo. The baggage claim / luggage area was a lot of fun to make. My aunt made vinyl cutouts on her Cricut for the luggage goodie bags. She even beat one up and put on the “your luggage may have been damaged” tag. My husband had a broken joy stick and then that gave me the idea to make a mini cockpit for Senna. I bought all of the switches from the car parts store and had plexi-glass cut to fit the screens. I bought posters from a flight school and added a picture I took from the plane. To eat, we had boxed lunches from Panera for adults and we made snack boxes for the kids. The cookies were made by @lynnstagrammm. The treat table had life savers, jello parfaits, cotton candy clouds, spare tires, and meringue clouds. We asked the valet guys to wear vests and use the batons and it was really a fun detail. My mom took her flight attendant duties very seriously at the party. Pictures were taken by Jennifer Pope photography.” Love Kara’s Party Ideas?
