Asian Party Details: This is what Beverly said about styling the party- “Turning 70 is a major and unique milestone to reach. We wanted to do something different and fun for this 70th birthday celebration. As the Chinese says, one should celebrate like a king when he is celebrating 70th birthday. So we have decided to come up with an oriental theme that reflects the birthday boys Asian origin, and the colour red represents Good Luck & Prosperity in Chinese tradition. We thought that it would be fun to have a colourful setup instead of the traditional red and gold birthday theme that are commonly seen. We love how the whole set-up turned out, blending in a lot of traditional props that are rarely seen nowadays, but was once so common back in the olden days when he was little. The colourful handmade paper fortune cookies and paper umbrellas are some of our favorites! We also display a lot of traditional snacks such as fortune cookies and haw flakes, these are some of the sweet treats that are very popular many, many years ago. Customised Longevity Bun cake pops and longevity macaroons were a hit too”! Love Kara’s Party Ideas?
