This is what Janelle shared about planning/styling the party:
“My sweet client Mindy requested an Alice in Wonderland/Mad Hatter Tea Party for her darling little 4 year old daughter. I was up for the challenge to make this event unforgettable. My creative process was pushed to new limits as I had to explore different inspirations and aesthetics for this one of a kind celebration. This event was very unique in my quest to find decor and props that were vintage and full of character. Things needed to be oversized, undersized, disproportioned, no conformity, as well as absolute conformity. In other words filled full of “MADNESS”!
Venue
The venue was designed to have a garden feel. Full of greenery with a canopy that transformed the scene into an intimate space for the magical tea party. Teacups, tablecloths, and chairs all were mismatched to make it feel childlike. This has been one of the most satisfying setups I’ve ever done. There were a lot of hours spent to make this concept a reality and to see the happiest birthday girl and proud parents is so rewarding. As always it was a pleasure working with the talented Petals by Carly by having her do the flower arrangements and Sweet Bottom Cakes for the heavenly pastries. Which made all this event extra special.”
