Alison’s party description- “THE THEME In first thinking about this little kids Halloween party, I knew I wanted it to be fun, imaginative, and silly not at all scary. Since the kids were all still really young I wanted to focus on the whimsical and magical ideas of Halloween. Oriental Trading has so many awesome decorations and decor pieces that sparked so many creative ideas as I was planning this celebration. It was so hard to decide on which items to choose, but once I saw their adorable plush witch legs and sets of cauldrons I fell in love with the idea of a Candy Witch. She was so easy to create and quickly became the star of the show! I just placed the witch legs flat on the table and put the largest of the three cauldrons directly on top of the legs. Next, I sprinkled candy all around her. Then, I attached this poem to the side of her cauldron: My broom went a-muck and I got stuck. I spilled my sweets Help yourself to the treats! The kids loved the idea that the Candy Witch was stuck inside her cauldron. They thought it was so funny! THE FOOD The foods at the party included, Zombie Eyeballs, Pudding Graveyards, Clementine Pumpkins, Witch Finger Lollipops, Monster Mash Cupcakes, and Boo Poo (mini marshmallows). In the world of 5 year olds, this of course, got tons of laughs! The kids also had a blast eating donuts off of a witchs broomstick with their mouths only (no hands!). It was sort of a different spin on bobbing for apples. So fun! THE BOO CREW When each child made his/her way to the table they found their place card, a little tag that said Youre Fang-tastic!, stuck inside plastic vampire fangs. Once they popped their fangs in their mouth, everyone was truly in character and ready for some Halloween fun! THE GAMES Aside from the bobbing for donuts broomstick activity, we played two other games at the party too. The first was Toot, Scoot and Boogie jack-o-lantern whoopee cushion musical chairs! Played the same way as traditional musical chairs, only with these jack-o-lantern whoopee cushions instead of chairs. This game was all giggles during the toots, scoots and boogies it was pure fun! Along the same lines as the Boo Poo mini marshmallows, the whoopee cushions were pretty epic with our little ghouls and goblins. They absolutely loved this game! The second game was Inflatable Witch Hat ring toss. The kids had a blast with this game as well. They got so excited about it their faces truly say it all! MUMOSAS Now I couldnt forget all the mummies (and dads too!). While the kids were having fun, we all enjoyed some spirited mumosas! Yummy for mummies only! FAVORS Before the Boo Crew headed home, we had to send them on their way with a little witch pretzel broom and pencil treat. It was such a fun afternoon!
