This is what Angelica shared about the party- “Parenting is kind of like living in the jungle (wild, unpredictable, jaw dropping…) so a wild one themed party seemed appropriate to celebrate our little guy’s first year. The day was hot – over 90 degrees! The heat didn’t hinder Ellen Gustafson Photography’s talent, but it did make for melty cake & shorten the life of the helium filled balloons. All part of jungle life, right? My fiance works in landscaping, so I wanted to make use of old wood pallets; adding greenery courtesy of M Flower Studio, Northstar Balloon’s famous foil letters, and cute baby pictures (favors for adult family & friends) turned them into the perfect backdrop. I’m not much of a DIY girl, but I managed to make a gold lion cake stand that was used to hold the kids’ animal cracker favors. On Solid Ground Vintage Rentals provided decor that complemented the theme perfectly. And everyone – especially the birthday boy – couldn’t get enough of Amy’s Cupcake Shoppe 9;s delicious chocolate cake with surprise tiger stripes on the inside!
