“Rawr for Love” Dinosaur Bridal Shower
Leigh’s party description- “My client, who is so amazing to work with, contacted me and expressed that she’d like me to style her bestie’s bridal shower. The kicker was that she wanted it to be dinosaur theme. I can’t lie, I raised an eyebrow. Don’t get me wrong, I’d always wanted to design a dinosaur party. It was the bridal shower part that was interesting. I also intrigued because if there is one thing that I like, it’s a challenge. Once my client described that she wanted a dinosaur theme with an element of glam and I delivered.
The Design Process:
Now if I am honest, the first thing I started thinking about was the desserts. I think the best part of a dinosaur party are the desserts! Part of that is due to the fact that I LOVE cute themed desserts. The other part is that I am greedy and love desserts! LOL! Immediately I reached out to Voula of Blue Lace Cakes. I knew I wanted to include her delicious desserts! I described my vision to her and she delivered! As I was designing the party, I felt something was missing. This is how I ended up with the gold dinosaur head on the backdrop. The dinosaur wasn’t gold to begin with. Armed with spray can primer and gold spray paint, I set to work and it came out BEAUTIFULLY! I had found that “thing” that was missing. I am so in love with so many of the details of this party. What about those dinosaur tails for the chairs??? How freaking adorable is that!?!? I just HAD to add a little tulle skirt to the bride’s chair to make sure After personalizing other elements like adding “wino-saur” decals to the wine glasses, labels to the water and wine bottles, etc the party came together beautifully. I could go on and on.” Love Kara’s Party Ideas? Keep up with the latest party ideas, FREE party printables, tutorials, recipes and more by following Kara’s Party Ideas on Pinterest!
